DSC 0279EMCID's Board of Directors attended the ribbon cutting for New Caney ISD's $20 million football stadium located on Valley Ranch Parkway at the Grand Parkway. Officially named Texan Drive Stadium, the 8,500 seat complex includes the largest high school score board in the nation at over 1400 square feet. The field includes artificial turf. Other facilities include a two-level press box, field house with locker facilities, training area and officiating staff room. Also, the stadium includes a community room that will host district events and is available for rent.

Those in attendance from EMCID included President/CEO Frank McCrady and directors Brenda Webb, Katherine Persson, Leonard Rogers, Isidor Ybarra and Martin Zepeda.

DSC 0125EMCID is proud to "add on" five percent to auction items' final bids at the East Montgomery County Fair each year. Directors Martin Zepeda, Leonard Rogers and Dale Martin and President/CEO Frank McCrady attended the auction Saturday, September 13. The five percent covers half the cost of each entrant's fees for the competition. It's estimated EMCID will donate about $15,000 to $20,000 this year.

DSC 0141The Back to School Bash didn't disappoint, as hundreds of area children and their parents made their way to the annual free event Tuesday, September 9 at the EMCID Complex. Volunteers handed out around 400 backpacks stuffed with school supplies to a line of waiting students.

CHRISTUS Thanks EMCIDOn behalf of the CHRISTUS Healthy Living Mobile Clinic, I want to thank you for your support of our program. This past Tuesday, August 26 we gave a total of 226 vaccines — a record for us. We would not been able to provide this service to the community if we did not have the space and the accommodations that EMCID make available to us. We truly value your partnership and support in helping us bring a much needed service to the East Montgomery County community.

Best regards,
